 WHAT IT DOES

High-visibility clothing is made of fluorescent material with added reflective tape or shapes. It is not as simple as the fabric being a bright or light colour. There is a range of colours that actually work with the sun’s ultraviolet rays to make them appear to glow which increases the visibility of the garment in daytime.

              This is even stronger in poor light or in fog or nearer dusk. At               night when there is no sunlight, then light from sources such as               car headlights bounce off the reflective areas to make the tape               glow, increasing night time visibility.
