Can be used to fire the shutter of a camera remotely, saving you the trouble of setting a timer for precarious shots!

There is a multi function button on the device that replicates the shutter release on the camera, a light press will focus the lens and a firmer press will fire the shutter (just as the camera's own shutter release). There is an added feature whereby the button slides a little and locks the shutter which is particularly useful for long time exposures using the 'Bulb' setting. This would be ideal for night time or astrophotography.
