Cordless Circular Saw #2 In Stock Now

ABOUT THIS TOOL

PLEASE NOTE: This cordless tool is not to be used for especially large jobs, as continuous and strenuous use can knacker the motor. If you have an especially large project on your hands, we recommend seeking out a more industrial tool.

This is a battery circular saw. It is great for getting to hard to reach places but may not have the power for really difficult jobs. That said, it will most likely be fine for average jobs around the house, especially where you are only making a few cuts or are not near mains power.

WHAT IT DOES

Used for straight cutting across pieces of timber, and along wide pieces of timber, and for cutting up boards (plywood, MDF, laminates etc).

If you want to do curved cuts, you’ll need a power jigsaw instead. You may prefer the jigsaw for straight cuts too if you aren’t familiar with power tools and if the cut doesn’t have to be dead straight. It’s harder to get a straight cut with a jigsaw, but it’s less scary than the circular saw.

HOW TO USE IT

If you aren’t experienced with circular saws, look at these resources. A lot can go wrong with a circular saw, particularly if you clamp/support the workpiece incorrectly.

There is some good advice at the following site. Did you know, for example, that you shouldn’t support the workpiece at both ends? Or that it’s important to set the blade height correctly? https://www.familyhandyman.com/tools/circular-saws/circular-saw-tips-and-techniques/
