Simply open the clamp by twisting the arm, until the pieces you need to secure are able to slide inside. Then twist the arm back the other way to tighten the clamp, until the pieces are held securely. If waiting for glue to dry, then wait the recommended amount of time as advised on the glue instructions before removing the clamps.
